Handle Your Laptop With Care

Handle electrical devices with care, yes?, we all know that.  However, tons of people are guilty of mishandling of a laptop.  In fact some damages inflicted on a laptop are totally uncalled for and could be avoided.  A laptop is a fragile piece of equipment that can be damaged easily in 101 ways.  However, it does not mean that any one of us do it on purpose but most of the time, a laptop can be damaged due to ways which we are all gulity off.

In this article, some of the the most common accidents that result in damage of a laptop are listed below.  If you have any of those incorrect habits listed below, do take note unless you have a lot of money to spare.

1) Treat your laptop to a cup of coffee.

No working class can survive work without a cup of coffee, many a few cups in one day.  Humans, being lazy would put the coffee close to them so that they don’t have to reach far for a sip.  So the most common place would be next to your laptop.  That is a disaster waiting to happen.  There is a high chance you would topple the coffee as you reach for documents or even accidentally dropping the entire cup over the laptop.  Your laptop is not feeling sleepy, no need for that fix.

2) Allow young toddlers near your laptop

Ever watched videos of young children and you see them throwing things at each other or taking apart remote controls and eating the batteries.  You never under estimate the intelligence of kids these days, you may come out of the shower 5 minutes later to find your laptop in 50 pieces part by part and you don’t have a clue on how to put it back.  They can simply do it by dropping it on the floor.

3) Closing the laptop with items in between the screen and keyboard

Sometimes, it is a hassle to pack everything when you need to move to another location nearby.  So you simply shove the earphones in between the screen and keyboard and close it as you move to your new location.  LCD screens are soft and are easily cracked by the slighest force applied.

4) Stepping on your laptop

You have just finished your last bit of work while in bed and you decided to leave it on the floor, at least it is safe from falling off your bed or even being crushed when you toss and turn while alseep.  But when you wake up to take a pee and CRRAACCKKK… Oops.. You are suddenly wide awake..

5) Using your laptop as pillow

You slept late last night, so you take a 15 minutes of lunch break to take a short nap.  You are afraid of losing your laptop to pickpockets who stun your stuff while you are alseep, so you sleep on the laptop instead.  The weight of your head is enough to bend or crack the laptop.

6) You puke all over the laptop

It is a happy occasion, so you drank till you drown in beer.  Drunk as a lord, you could not even tell your wife from your maid.  But if you could not tell a toliet bowl from a laptop lid, I am sorry.  That’s a mess that no body in this world would repair for you.  You may try Mr steve services, but I think he will dunk the laptop in a caudron of perfume and return it to you.

7) Throwing objects at the screen

Oh dear, you are caught by your wife meeting your ex gal and she is giving you hell at home.  Every thing in the room is flying at you.  Close the lid of the laptop first and catch as much items as your 2 hands could handle.  Cracked screens caused by objects hitting it is quite a common accident amongst laptop repairs.

8 ) Crushed by car seats

One of the most common places to hide a laptop from sight when you leave it in the car is under the seat of the passenger area.  This is one way to prevent robbers from smashing your wind screen and stealing your laptop.  But do remember to tell your friend who is taking a ride home from work in your car, or he may shift the seat forward or backwards and thus flattening your laptop.

9) Anger management

Violence cannot solve any problems and this applies to the computer world as well.  You should not vent all your fustrations on the laptop even if markets have taken the ultimate plunge or you have just gone through a series of photos taken by your private investigator to see that your husband is kissing another woman.  If you fling the laptop to the wall, it is only going to destroy the evidence you have against him.

10) Using the laptop as a weapon

If you are being stalked or robbed, using the laptop to fend off the attacker is one good idea, but the impact even when the screen is closed will crack the screen for sure.  However, unless you are indeed robbed, avoid using the laptop as a weapon to hit your boyfriend.  Use something from the desk would suffice.
