How to convert the new .docx documents to .doc extension..?

Docx documents are the new extension of Microsoft Office 07,  to open a document saved in newer Microsoft Office we will need to convert .docx to .doc or else docx documents cannot be used in other Office Suites like Open Office.   A lot of us do not wish to spend a lot of money in buying one entire set of Microsoft Office which cost a bomb.  Besides, there’s quite a few open source office software for us to choose from.  These has resulted in lots of inconvenience if you had to open the file in another computer.  Here’s some methods to convert .docx documents to .doc files.

1) Use online converting service

There are websites that offer such a service to convert docx to doc.  Simply upload the file you wish to convert and once it is done with the conversion, it will notify you via email that the file is ready.  There is a file size limit of 100 megs.

2) Download the Microsoft Compatibility Pack

If you are still using the old version of Microsoft Office, download the Microsoft compatibility pack for Office 2007 and install it.  It can be found at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/ha100444731033.aspx.  can save all  your documents in the new format as well.

Now you know how you can convert all your .docx documents to .doc.  Your old office suite will not end up in the trash bin anymore.
